I am a single mother of 2 girls ages 8 and 2 1/2 I was fortunate enough to be able to work and be a mom with my first daughter b/c my mom would watch her while I waited tables but after my mom started new job which has her working all over U.S for months at time I had to put daughter in daycare thankfully she was 4yrs old and just missed cut off for free pre-k by 5 weeks. By this time I was working full time as a medical biller and found a great stay at home mom who also watched kids in my neighborhood. My luck ran out with my second child b/c there was no way I would put a newborn in daycare and work full time. I would not have been able to afford daycare if I wanted. I would have been working to pay for daycare that just did not make sense. Make no mistake I have always worked as soon as I turned 14 I was working at Burger King and b4 I was able to work legal I had paper routes and of course babysitting. So fastforward my youngest is going to be 3 in July and I want to go to Esthetician school my classes will be from 1:00 to 6:00 5 days a week. So what i am looking for is some guidence on how to attend school and pay for daycare so I can go to school. I want a better life for my kids and I have never had a job I enjoyed but I have always worked this is the 1st time in my life I have found a career I would enjoy waking up for. I can't be the only one in this position but I won't settle for poor childcare just b/c I am poor my kids should not be worth less then someone with milions of dollars. Please I will take any suggestions.
